Installation of bespoke storage for staff room, classroom and corridor alcove for special needs centre
The Apperley Centre is a new post 16 centre for students with special needs. Klick Technology were called upon to supply the bespoke storage due to the specialist nature of the units. Having worked with Roberts Limberick previously the architects specified Klick knowing we could meet their brief.
Installation of specialist fixed furniture for 69 rooms in new build school including 5 science labs & prep room, assorted music rooms & recording studio, food tech & prep, art rooms, textiles, resistant materials, ICT and assorted general classrooms.
Klick Technology were successful in winning the fitted furniture contract for the new high tech £17.5m Brannel School in January 2011. There was a tight schedule to manufacture the furniture and only 7 weeks allocated for installation on site.
The science department wanted to maximise storage space within the new biology labs to improve efficiency and minimise clutter. A glass display cabinet was designed to coordinate with the beech furniture, tray storage units were incorporated for the storage of specimens and a bespoke skeleton display cabinet was supplied.
When specifying equipment for the new science labs at Halesowen College staff wanted students to have immediate access to monitors on the workbenches. The client also wanted to maximise storage space for everyday items with the inclusion of a cupboard & tray storage within each workbench.
