Callywith College was funded as a Free School under the EFA national funding formula. As a new college in mid-north Cornwall its purpose is to improve A level results in that region. The brief was to manufacture and install the fitted furniture for the new build college within a 5 week lead time. Klick were selected for their proven track record with Kier and their ability to deliver a competively priced project within a limited time frame.
Installation of furniture for art hub, ICT, library, ceramics, fashion & jewellery studios, printmaking & prep/store rooms
The school wanted an inspirational but practical space using simple materials and a neutral palette. Working space, display space and space to store their work were all key. The brief was to provide bespoke furniture to complement the rustic appearance of the buildings.
The brief was to create a clean and contemporary look for Kingham Hill School’s new science block. They wanted to create a really positive environment and provide first class facilities for their students.
The brief was to co-ordinate the supply and installation of the furniture for the school. This involved close co-operation with Willmott Dixon, the main contractor handling the redevelopment of the site. We liaised closely with the procurement team to finalise the furniture requirement for each of the 68 rooms and then provided drawings for all relevant areas.
This project was a new build for a Special Needs School relocating from a few miles away. The school wanted to create a welcoming and warm environment for children with a wide variety of special needs.

Woodchurch High School is a £23.5m project which is part of the Building Schools for the Future programme coordinated by The Metropolitan Borough of Wirral.
The Marlborough School were looking for a high specification that would withstand intensive use in their new science block. The project required close collaboration with Mouchel to refine the design details in line with their specification.
This project required close collaboration with the builder, the architect and the school. The bollard layout was selected and our designers refined the room layouts for the chemistry, biology & physics labs in conjunction with the architect.
