Furniture Installation for New Science Block

Lathallan School, Angus

We were looking to make a statement with the furniture for our new science block. Klick were competitive on price and offered design support throughout the process. Their furniture is practical, with a teaching wall and plenty of storage in each room which creates a clean, modern look reflecting the school’s inspirational principles. The installation team were exemplary, finishing to schedule with minimal snags. The school is really pleased with the end result and the staff can’t wait to teach in the new rooms.

PROJECT BRIEF

The aim was to create an inspirational and bright environment for the science students at Lathallan School. IDD Architects were looking for a reliable supplier with design flair to provide furniture for the new science block. Our design team provided a full visual package to ensure the school’s brief was met and each room was equipped appropriately.

THE RESULTS

Klick were successful in submitting a competitive tender and were selected to fit out the science laboratories thoughout the new purpose built block. Our designers worked closely with IDD throughout the design phase refining the schemes to create a smart and modern environment for the science department.

Storage provision was critical to the teaching staff who wanted to reduce clutter and create a more spacious environment. Therefore teaching walls were specified for each room, making the most of underutilised space at the front of the room The design incorporated different coloured tray and door options to distingiush room type, with the junior school opting for a colour scheme using 3 contrasting door colours in succession.

The end result is an impressive suite of labs which reflect the individual style  of the school and offer practical science facilities for the students and staff.
